All About the screw
A screw is a simple machine made from another machine, it is an inclined plane that’s wrapped around a cylinder, it is a sharp-pointed tool. A screw holds things together by being rotated to make sure something is held tightly in place. A screw is also used to tighten and loosen things, raise and lower things, and to pin things together or take them apart. When you're using a screw, you are making work easier by increasing the distance and decreasing the force. Screw's make work easier by getting things from on place to another, for instance if you have an ice maker on your refrigerator, the ice goes through a screw to get from the ice box to your cup.
the inventor of the screw
According to Ancient Greeks a Greek philosopher, Archytas of Tarrerntum was the first one to have invented the screw. The exact year in which the screw was invented is unknown. It could be known as a screw pump, Archimedes created the screw water pump. He is sometimes also credited for being the inventor of the screw.
History of screws
One of the early aged screws are the Archimedes screw, this screw was also known as a screw pump. It was used to pump water up instead of going down in the ground on your own. Archimedes first invested this type of screw around 234 BC. This is another way that the screw makes work easier, it pumps water up for you.
